About 10 days or so ago, the pinsetter damaged my "already starting to die"...AMF Heist. I tried resurfacing it and repolishing it with both Brunswick Ruff Buff, Track Clean & Sheen, and Ebonite Factory Polish and the ball remained almost dead.
I received my order of Resurrection and Snake Oil this past Friday. I redid my Heist again this morning. I first cleaned the old polishes off by sanding with with a 500 grit Abralon Pad. I then applied the Resurrection and put a gob about the size of a quarter on a dry terry cloth towel and using between medium and light pressure for 1 minute on each side. After this application, the ball had a perfect matte finish and looked as good as a NIB ball with a matte finish. I couldn't get over how perfect the finished looked.
Next, I put a gob of Snake Oil a bit bigger than the size of a nickle on a dry terry cloth towel and applied to each side of the ball using only "light" pressure and polished for 45 seconds on each side and then quit there as the ball was shiny but not overly shiny and seemed to be close as well as I could remember it to being when NIB.
Then I went to the lanes late this afternoon to see what the ball would do and "voila", my Heist was now revived, alive, and useable once again. I will use it in league tomorrow afternoon and see how it does.
To sum it up, I can vouch for all of the good things everyone has been saying about these Valentino products as it is true and my hat is off to them for creating such a great product.
