Stupid question
« on: April 28, 2008, 11:05:16 AM »
I have a Hammer bite. The drilling I have is for a continuous arch. Here's my question....If I were to polish up this ball would it become more of a skid/flip ball because it will go down longer? Or will I still have my arch just not as much? Thanks!

It depends on how you polish it, what the grit level is underneath the polish/shine, what type of polish you use, and how glossy the finish is,
AND upon what type & amount of oil you use the polished ball.

If you polish  the stock 4000 grit finish and use the ball on a lighter oil, it will probably be more flippy.

If you sand it to 1000 grit and then apply a medium amount of a non-abrasive polish, it will be less flippy than the 4000 grit polished ball.

If you sand it to 1000 grit and use a lot of an abrasive polish, it might be half way between the above two balls.

Any degree of flippiness is possible.

Oh, just to make life interesting, it also depends on your release and the drilling.
