Valentino's Resurrection
« on: June 29, 2009, 02:53:36 AM »
Good day, quick inquiry concerning the "Resurrection" product.   Is this safe to use as a regular cleaner after league or as a periodic ball maintenance product.  Thanks.

It's a cross-between a regular cleaner and periodic maintenance. Resurrection contains an abrasive which sands the ball to 800 grit. The abrasive removes a very small amount of coverstock, so unlike sandpaper, you can use Resurrection after every set.

We recommend using it about every 10 games. Also, since the abrasive particles stay in the towel after about 10 applications you can just wet the rag and you'll be good.

This might be perfectly obvious but sometimes it's better to state the obvious than to skip over it -

If the surface created by Resurrection is the surface you use on that ball, then, yes, I see no problem with using it. But if your surface is anything other than 800 grit (with a light shine, if used with a spinner), then you're better off using a plain celaner after each set OR you'd have to put back whatever surface you were using on that ball.

Thank you..  I used it for the first time on my Dimension which had the original box finish.  Followup question, then >  Dimension had a 2000 OOB finish, what type of polish should I have used to bring it back to original
surface ?
