Doc's Elixir
« on: December 01, 2006, 07:30:28 AM »
Anybody still using it?  I don't see the threads we once did about this product.  I think Gary/Doc still sells it.

Maybe it's because many of us are touching up balls very often on spinners.  I still have a couple of bottles and often wonder if I am seeing any less oil absorption.

Also the color of the liquid has turned a lil darker than when it was new....not the clear color.  Did it change?

What are your feelings about the product?  Good/bad or doesn't do anything?

Scotts, I haven't used it  for  approx. 3 years. I still have a new bottle and part of another sitting on the shelf of my closet. I just didn't like it changing the length of the ball and having to adjust the ball cover because of that and etc. plus with todays cleaners like Clean & Dull keeping covers in great condition, so I quit using it.

Thanks Jim.

Anyone else......this product used to be used by many BR members.  I don't hear good things being said about it any longer.  Must be a reason.  No love anymore???

Yes we still sell the Elixir.  I personally haven't bowled much the past year so don't frequent the boards very often.  I check for messages and still get a few emails that I answer.  I think you haven't seen as many posts is that the Elixir lasts a long time and those that have used it still have bottles.  Some don't like it but the majority still use it as I still have several people write back for additional orders.

If the Elixir is exposed to air it occasionally will change color.  I don't know why it just does.  Overall the product still works just as well.

I still ship products out all across the world.
