No, pearlized coverstock with particles added........

NO, the WOW Pearl is a pearlized WOW coverstock which included particle...it's a process in the making of the coverstock, not just polish

then , what about the reaction of the coverstock ?

polish VS pearl ....

for me....

a simple reactive cover with polish will give you the skid-snap kind of deal. With my experiences with pearlized particle equipment, you will be able to clear the heads, but instead of the skid-snap... i get the skid-arc.

Pearlized particle balls, in my experiences, give you the comfort of being able to clear the heads, but be able to control the backends because of particles.

I use my particle pearlized ball i have (Assault Pearl by RotoGrip) in conditions that have a medium-moderate amount of oil in the heads with some... SOME... carrydown. Also, this all depends on lane surface. I have been successful with particle pearlized stuff on the rougher/softer lane surfaces... like wood and heddon lanes... I don't know why... but if it works... i gotta stick with it, u know.

To add a little more spice to the topic, here's some additonal info:

Because a ball is classified as a particle pearl does not mean it is polished and shiny. There have been particle pearl balls that are not polished: Brunswick Riot Zone, Lane#1 Pro Purple Buzzsaw, AMD Nighthawk Revenge.
Currently, the Visionary Purple Ice Executioner is classified as a particle pearl, but comes 600 grit wet sanded. Not sure if there are more.

I still use a Pro Purple Buzzsaw and like its predictability and lack of snap. It has nice hard arc when used on enough oil.
