Plug, Redril and Resurfacing
« on: August 18, 2010, 03:39:15 AM »
Hello, I just purchased a used Storm Virtual Shift from ebay for $47. I'm not going to change the existing layout on the ball too much at all. I just plan on having it plugged & re-drilled to adjust the layout to my pap.

When a proshop plugs and re-drills a ball, do they resurface after the plug? I want to be prepared with knowledge before walking into my local proshop. Normally I bring in new equipment for drilling so there is just a flat drill fee ($52 with grips and slug) that I pay. An automatic resurface seems like an obvious answer since the excess plug material needs to be removed.

Since I only paid $47 for a used ball I wanted to try and minimize cost. No point buying a cheap used ball and spending a ton of money preping it for use.

I will ask these same questions at the pro shop too. I just like being education prior to walking in.

Thanks a million
