sanding without a spinner?

what is the proper procedure for sanding you bowling ball with out the use of a spinner?

( i am referring to thr green and burgendy pads)

Option 1 -- Take the ball to your local pro shop and pay the $5 or so to have it done professionally.

Option 2 -- Spend a couple hundred bucks and buy a spinner.

Option 3 (by far the poorest option) -- Using a circular motion, sand the entire surface of the ball using the desired color Scotchbrite.  Rotate frequently to avoid flat spots.  When your arm wears out, stop for an hour or so, then resume.  Repeat until you have a uniform job.

A link to the Vertex spinners carried by Buddies is below.  Several other companies make good spinners - I am not recommending the Vertex necessarily, just providing the link to give you an idea of cost.  Unless you're going to do a LOT of surface work, check with your pro shop to see how much they charge.  --  JohnP
