polished vs. pearl
« on: February 17, 2004, 11:16:07 PM »
If you polished a Blade solid with Ebonite Factory Finish polish
how would it compare to the Blade Pearl.

In addition, how would the solid react polished compared to it's NIB finish which is 800 grit sanded?

I polished my blade reactive and it was more of a smooth arcing ball compared to my sling blade.the sling winds up alot and then snaps.
The harder I try the harder they fall

I don't have a blade, but in just commenting about the
coverstocks.

The solid when polished to 1000 or higher will act like a pearl
because it is retaining energy, and will release it when it hits the dry.

Comparing it to it's NIB condition it will be more skid snap,
while the NIB condition will be an arc, grabbing the lane
sooner.

Looking at the balls I see they haven't changeed cores between
the solid and the pearl like in some other balls.

The most versital of the two balls would be the solid.
I myself haven't had to muck luck sanding pearls.
