Powerhouse Power Wash vs. ???
« on: September 29, 2013, 09:52:22 PM »
In the recent thread that talked about and compared the various ball cleaners and polishes out there I noticed that one of the more popular local cleaners wasn't included.

Powerhouse Power Wash is the main recommendation of a local pro shop and I've used if for a while but opted to pick up Motiv's Power Gel cleaner instead this time since the Motiv product is 16 oz. and the Power Wash is only 5 oz. and the price doesn't really reflect the differing amounts.

So my question is for those that have experience with multiple cleaners...

How do you feel Power Wash compares to other cleaners like Rx Remedy, Power Gel Clean, Reacta Clean, Reacta Foam and other "acceptable for use anytime" cleaners out there?

From my personal experience, Powerhouse Power Wash is a weak cleaner which is probably why you didn't see it listed.

Weak cleaner compared to what though?  If you have an opinion don't be afraid to provide some information so I might be able to sort this out...

I pretty much use clean' n dull after a while on equipment and Remedy RX for my "after set cleaner".  I've used Powerwash before as my shop had it.

While Powerwash and Remedy are comparable products, Powerwash is def weaker compared to Remedy.

I've used Motiv Gel cleaner as well, it is OK as an "after set cleaner" but it isn't a deep cleaner, in my subjective opinion, like clean n'dull.

The Motiv Gel cleaner does have a plus side..........and that is value.

I would have to agree that Clean N' Dull would be the best of all the other mentioned.  It really gets into the pours of the ball and draws out the oil.

I have Clean and Dull and use it from time to time.  I didn't mention it because that isn't the sort of cleaner I was asking about...

I'm not sure the value of the Power Gel is worth the extra amount of labor.  Maybe I'll just have to order some Remedy Rx or the newly approved LMB cleaner to see what everyone is talking about...

Valentino makes good products, you won't be disappointed in it.  I also use their Franken Tape.

Remedy, IMO is a pretty solid cleaner to use immediately following league.  Always gonna have to do a rejuvenator session when it is time but Remedy is great in between.  I tend to use CN'D when I freshen up the surface.
