Legends polish on plastic

I started polishing my wife's Target Zone using the Legends polish and no matter how much pressure or how long I spun it, the ball always felt slick.  I sanded it with a green pad before I started.  After I polished the first side, I went to pick it up and almost dropped it, there was no tack at all.

I realize that "slip" on a plastic ball is usually desired, reaction-wise, but so slick that I can't pick it up kinda sucks.

Has anyone tried using Legends polish on a plastic ball?  Is it strictly for reactive balls?

It doesnt sound like a bad thing..Ive never used Legends polish on my plastic, but i have used it on my hybrid and XXX and it worked great on them.

Oddly, for all the Legends polish I have gotten with the balls, I have never tried it on a polyester balls. I don't know why it would make the surface slippery. Doesn't do that to resin balls.

I'd suggest that you don't do that any more. For more reasons that what happened. It has no abrasive in it. Most polyester balls need polished when they get scratched up from use. An abrasive polish is almost needed to help restore skid to a polyester ball.

I used it on my Mutant and it was so tacky it almost peeled the skin off my fingers.  It's the only ball polish I have, and since Brunswick's original surface is simply 400-grit plus their gritless polish, I thought that the Legends polish might work instead.

I've got some Turtle Wax rubbing compound that I used on an old green WD, gave it a nice shine.  I'll probably hit the Target Zone with another green pad and polish it with the rubbing compound instead.

Storm's Diamond Gloss is the best rated at 5000 grit.

Was this the regular Legends factory finish or their extender polish?  I usually get a bit more hook from my straight ball than I want - maybe super slick would help.

My pro shop "smoothed out the cover" and then hit my ARROW with Legends Extended Length polish ... it's similiar to TRACK Delayed reaction polish; both "fill the pores" and help give equipment more "push" down the lanes.
