How often do you refresh a polished ball ?

Since I use the spinner tend to be pretty lazy about polishing and would say about every 15 to 20 games or so on my spare ball which is one of the few balls I keep polished.  Going to depend on lane surface and condition and lol how often you dump it in the channel.  Also depends how much of a mirror polish you need as with my low revs I can get away with a less shiny polish for longer.  Actually use Reacta Shine even on spare ball as nothing I hate more than chopping spares.

I'd suggest around every 9 -12 games, keeping in mind that polish i snot a coating but a finish on the ball. That finish gets changed every time you throw the ball. The degree of change depends on your rev rate, how worn the lane surfaces are on which you bowl, and on how much oil/dry you bowl.

You should keep an eye on your track AND on the ball reaction. If the ball reaction is not due to a change in the lane condition, then go by it first, then the appearance of the surface. Learn how soon your polished surface changes, being aware how much of a gloss or how little a shine you have on your ball.

^this.  Watching reaction (track too) is key.  When my plastic spare ball starts moving more than I like on the back end that is when I polish it (track wear can help you anticipate).  With reactives you may actually see less back end when the polish wears off as the ball will start burning energy too soon.

I would say polish as often as you think the ball reaction needs tweaking. Personally I try to hit my polished equipment every 6-9 games.

I find with my polished equipment that it's easier to just touch up with high grit rather than lather on polish. Higher grits give you more continuity midlane anyways. But, if you love polish, hit the surface with the original grit on a spinner and polish over it with a ballpark similar amount after however many games it takes for your ball to lose it's reaction.
