I own an Icon300 that has been polished since day 1.
Now with 150 or more games on it, it is time to refinish it.
I have cleaned it many times, used Liquid Sandpaper many times (almost finished a small bottle)and continued to keep it polished with Black Magic.
I have recently bled some oil out using the hot water method.(not the first time oil has been bled out of it).
Once it has been refinished, I will have to keep it polished, as there is not enough oil in this area of the country to use it in its out of the box finish.
I am not looking for a large hook from this ball, just a controlled hook.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or previous posts I can refer to?

If history is my guide, my first 300 will come before the Red Sox win another World Series....either way I will be happy.

dambowls -- Find a pro shop that has a Haus refinishing machine and knows how to use it. Tell them what grit you want to finish at and whether or not to polish it for you. It should cost in the $30 - 40 range and will be well worth it. -- JohnP

dambowls - I would suggest that after you get the ball to surface of your liking try protecting the coverstock with the Elixir. It keep the ball from absorbing oil and makes clean up much easier.
