I have had a few people ask me about Abralon pads and where to get them. Here is the cheapest that I have found, $2.99 ea. Grits 180, 360, 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000. Let me know if you find them cheaper elsewhere.
http://www.toolpeddler.com/abralonMirka.htm Everyone that uses a spinner has their preference when working coverstock. Most of us will use sandpaper and scotchbrite which are the best known methods. But my favorite is Abralon pads. I get 25-30 resurfaces with each pad, quick, easy and sand lines disappear.
Another great product that I use for surface finish is made by 3M. I guarantee if you use Quick Cut or other sand based compounds you will throw them away when you use this.
3M Perfect-It III Extra Cut Rubbing Compound (N051131-05940)
It only takes a few drops and you won't believe the finish. This is used by body shops to get the fine scratches out of High end vehicles like Lexus and such.
