i get great results when i resurface any of my brunswick bowling balls in the following manner:
1) have the oil extracted from the ball using a rejuvenator or revivor machine available at many pro shops.
2) have the ball resurfaced with a haus-type machine only as deep as necessary to remove the track on the ball. this type of machine will ensure a near perfect uniformity of refinishing.
3) in the case of your absolute inferno, the final sanding grit is 220. apply brunswicks rough buff compound by a ball spinner and your absolute inferno will be like new.
