Roll-out and polishing...

If a ball is rolling out, will polishing it help get it down the lane further before roll out occurs?

Well, I polished it and boy did it help...no more early roll out.  It was almost like rolling a different ball, it got down the lane better and had much better pin action than before I polished it.
