Title: sanding chart
Post by: kensumo on September 18, 2008, 04:57:49 PM
Hi everyone,  I am trying to find a sanding chart I found before but lost.  It showed I think 8 positions to place a ball, to cover it completely when resurfacing.  Just something to hang next to my spinner as a reference.  Any help is appreciated.

I saw the results of a newbie's first refreshing of the surface of a Black Widow. I use the word, "refreshing", specifically, because it was not a resurfacing when the ball has been tracked out. Well, he used the 8 "surfaces" or "sides" of a ball method. He completely erased all the labels except for the "ow" part of the "Black Widow". There was no serial number, there was nothing left. I doubt it met any specification for size. A $220 ball was now garbage.

Most balls should be able to resurfaced 4 - 8 times, if done properly and judiciously.

So, while EIGHT "sides" may be a wonderful ideal, 4 - 6 sides may be more practical and useful. Don't get too enthusiastic.

Yeah Big Jake,
That's it, now do you know where I can download the actual image from?

Thanks
