Hard for me to say, as I just picked up some Jost pads and are seeing how well and how long they work now.

For me, Siaair pads do last longer than Abralon; so if they're the same price, I'd have to go with Siaair.

I'm using a Jost 4000 grit pad now, as I would use a Siaair or Abralon pad. I have 5 uses on it now. If it were an Abralon, I"d put it in the pile to use the back pad for an applicator, but so far, the Jost is still doing the job at 4000 grit. I can tell because the balls on which I use it are still dull. Good sign for longevity of the Siaair range.

 
That's good information. I rarely use my 4000 grit pads, so I couldn't give any input on higher grit longevity. My impression in applying pads in the 500/1000/2000 grit range (95% of my usage) is that Siaair has longer life that Jost. Certainly at least a few more effective uses. Although I wouldn't say Abralon is any more durable than Jost. In the nutshell, Jost is an OK pad. It's a little cheaper that Siaair, but I'm not sure it's a better value based on expected number of uses.
 
And then there is having to use a Sharpie because water dissolves the print on the backing of Jost.....

Yes, it does. I was even wondering if I had a Jost in my hand when I examined it. They were cheap so I ordered a bunch. I use 4000 grit regularly.

Yea, it's not that big of a deal, but it didn't inspire confidence on overall pad quality. It's a small thing, but why not do it right??
 
At abraolnpads.com, Siaair is $2.40 per pad vs. $2.00 per pad for Jost (Mixed 20 packs). If you're using mostly 4000 grit, and your happy with durability, your choice makes sense. 

So far, the test is going well. It is nowhere near complete.
For me, can never have too many 4000 pads as they deteriorate so rapidly.

I'm curious why there never seems to be any mention of the NEAT pads.  I've been very happy with them and I use them regularly along with Siaair  pads.  Very long life pads, so the cost is reasonable to me.  Not a fan of the lower grit Jost pads as they just don't seem to hold up, and I haven't tried their 4000 pad yet, but will now based on Charlest's comments.

I liked NEAT pads when I used them, but where do you buy them now? I'm not seeing them online for less than $12.00 per pad, which is a non-starter.
