Sanding question.
« on: February 06, 2005, 10:28:14 AM »
I need to dull my Phenom Unleashed to better combat heavy oil.  What would be the best direction for sanding in order to achieve this?  Would I go with the track or against it?

I sand mine against it with a scotch brite pad

That's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to be sure.  Thanks for the reply!

Earnie, what I would do is sand with the bowtie at the top and at the bottom.
This makes the lines at right angles to the track and is possibly the most aggressive sand that you can do.
If you dont know how to find it, this is how, bowl the ball and note where the flare lines cross, this gives you your bowtie. Keep a note, or mark the spot with a pencil.
I dont know what others will say, but I find this good on heavy oil.
