Motiv Power Gel Scuff vs.Storm Reacta Scuff

Any opinions on which is better for any brand ball?

I have used Power Gel Scuff.  It is pretty strong stuff.  It WILL damage a ball if used incorrectly as it can be very abrasive.  Used as directed it does a great job.  It is also billed as an oil absorber and I have tried it for that.  Didn't really notice much of a difference after trying it only as an oil absorber as directed on the bottle.

Damage?  What type of damage (irreparable)?

If you use too much pressure while the product is on the cover of the ball it can permanently scratch/score the cover.  My PSO, who is a Motiv guy, specifically warned us about this and said to follow the instructions on the bottle exactly to avoid any undesirable effects.

Although they're both liquid scuff/sandpaper products, they're different enough where they actually compliment each other. Storm React Scuff, which is more of a gel, is the more abrasive of the two. It reminds me of NeoTac Liquid Sandpaper on steroids.  I really have to be careful to not dull the ball up too much when using it.
 
Motiv Scuff is less aggressive (given the same pressure), but still effective. I find less is better with the liquid products. If I want more aggressive, I use Abralon on the spinner to get a more uniform result. Another nice feature of Motiv Scuff is that you can leave a thicker application on the ball for 30-60 minutes and get some oil extraction. The thick paste solution dries and sucks oil out in the process. Wiping off the resulting powder residue is a little messy, but it seems to work.
 
They're both good products that provide the same basic scuff feature. You can't go wrong with either. They're cheap enough to try both and make your own conclusions.

I have used Motiv Power Gel Scuff and I can't imagine it "scoring" a ball worse than 360 or 500 abralon or sandpaper, which I use for resurfacing.

As with anything, use as directed, but I wouldn't worry about permanent marks from using Motiv Power Gel Scuff.
