secret sauce
« on: November 06, 2007, 03:44:35 AM »
just recieved mines in the mail yesterday. Applied it to my absolute inferno (By hand) and i just didn't seem to get the same  high gloss as some of the other balls i've seen online. What are the steps, you guys use, to effectively apply the polish?

ball spinner + secret sauce = mirror shine

applying by hand will shine it up a little and effect the reaction but not like doing it on a spinner!

Buy a spinner or have your local pro shop polish it with the Sauce.

Thanks for chiming in Nick. The technique for hand polishing is small 3 inch circular motions with FIRM pressure over the entire area of the ball. Then buff with a clean dry towel/cloth. If the surface of the ball is really banged up or at a really dull grit it will be hard to get a mirror finish on it. Most people I have sold the product to without spinners have purchased bottles and had their shops use their spinner. Although I stand by my products 100% to be used by hand. There is just too many variables to achieving the perfect surface. A spinner is very highly recommended.

I have been using a Random Orbit Car Polisher and have been having great results!  I don't want to pay the shop every single time I want my ball polished, nor do I have my own spinner.  I tried it by hand, and it did make the ball a little shiny.  I then tried it with the car polisher and it came out really shiny!  I used a new polishing cover, so only Beans Sauce is on it and nothing else.  Because it rotates in a random circular motion instead of a perfect circle, I think that it covers the balls surface really efficiently and evenly.

Just buy a spinner in the long runs its money wisely spent. Alot easier then hand or orbit buffer plus you can resurface with it and save even more money.

I have had several success stories from an orbital sander. Any tool that can help apply pressure will help.  Thanks for all the support guys.

Also,
I have been working on a polishing pad for the Secret Sauce. I finally found one that is to my satisfaction. Look for it to be available on my website in a few weeks.  Thanks
