In the past year or so they've gone to the SiaAir pads, which will finish like abralon, but they seem to last longer.

I'd try something like 500, then the Rough Buff or High Gloss. That should get you close. If needed, you can try the 360 and then the Rough Buff or High Gloss. Much depends on your spinner speed, hand pressure, amount of water used, etc., but you can get something that you can repeat that will work for you.

Factory finishes are merely a starting point. Each of us bowl with different styles, on varying lane surfaces, and varying amounts of oil. No factory can anticipate exactly what each of us will need, so you should experiment a little with what works best for you and your conditions.

Rarely do I maintain an exact factory finish for myself, nor do I think that I can duplicate that factory finish precisely, and I've been at it for a long time.

 

 

There is no set "base" finish.

Some like the Siege just stop at P1000 grit Siaair pad.

The Loaded Revolver is P500 grit followed by P4000 grit.

Others like the C-System 2.5 have a finish like the Virtual Gravity: P500 grit pad,followed by a P4000 grit pad.

It depends on the ball. Most times, but not every time, the web site has that information.
