what should i do to get a nice smooth reaction on my SI on Sport Shot conditions? what about an OI?

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

Principally, sanding the ball will make it recat smoother and hook earlier (but not necessarily more). I'd suggest a test with a very high grit (2.000 or 1.500) and check reaction. This could already be enough.
Additionally, I read that a Rough Buff finish can also work well on an SI - but I am not sure if it can handle more oil.
I'd go with a sheen sanded finish for trial.

see my post under Brunswick today.
220 grit wet sand. then rubbing compound for several minutes bringing it up to a semi gloss sheen or dull gloss. good hot water bath to make sure compound is gone. for me the ball works wonderful now, so smooth and clean.
