Sia Air Velvet Pads
« on: June 08, 2009, 04:15:47 AM »
Has anyone used Sia Air Velvet pads instead of Abralon? I have been using them for about a week and they hold up better and are cheaper. They also have a finer resolution to the available grits, including 1500 and 3000 pads. Here is a PDF:

Has anyone else been experimenting with them?

I bought the K1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 to try out from here:

http://www.vinceswoodnwonders.com/SIA%20Foam%20Backed%20Products.htm

They do last a lot longer than Abralon.

They look like Valentino's discs, but
$2 each for a box of 20 but only 3" in diameter from Vince's is expensive.
The manufacturer's website shows 6" discs like Valentino's and Abralon.

True. I just wanted to try them out and don't mine paying a little more if they last longer.

I have been using the 6 inch pads. PM me if you'd be interested in purchasing in bulk. I can guarantee cheaper than Valentinos. Looks like they're padding the cost quite a bit.

Here they are for $2.67 each but you have to order in packs of 10 (per grit I think)
