Title: Smoother Backend Reaction
Post by: Cyril The Syrup on December 12, 2010, 08:44:06 AM
Using a MOjave for lighter oil..ball floats through the fronts but has a sharp flip when it reaches friction. Looking for the best way to smooth out the backend by coverstock change.
Thanks

I should add the ball is OOB....which I believe is 400 grit + polish.

knock the shine down....take it back to 400 to 1000 to 2000 then gauge reaction.
The problem is that surface dictates length. If the ball is responding to quickly to friction, I would suggest a weight hole to smooth out mid lane and back end.

Justrico....where would you suggest putting the x-hole?
Ball is drilled pin next to ring finger, MB directly under the thumb.

Before I put a hole in the side of it, I'd try taking the surface to 2000.  The only issue with that is it turns it into a medium lane ball.  I have a MOjave with the same drilling you mentioned.  If you don't like that reaction, I would add a hole to your pap (p1).

Cyril
I would suggest placing it at least 1" off your PAP down the VAL to see a smoother response to friction.

Thank you guys....will try cover change first then extra hole if needed,
