I was talking to a couple bowlers after leauge last night and I mentioned bringing my Anomaly next week for this 45ft. sport shot. My Anomaly is at 600 grit dull and when I put it on the spinner to adjust the cover, I finished by sanding across the track. Since I did this, I have not been able to throw this ball on anything shy of flood. It bites by the time it hits the arrows on a THS. Anyway, I was told that it did not matter what direction you sanded the ball, it would react the same regardless. Now, I didnt argue too much with them b/c I was the most inexpericed one out of the group. I swear there was a big difference when I sanded across the track vs. sanding with the track. Can anyone confirm that it does or does not matter. If it doesnt...then why do I experience major change in reaction. Thanks, Tim

BIG difference...BIG BIG difference..
Keep in mind, if you adjust the surface of a ball, you must do the entire ball, not just the track. But, the person who told you that was not 100% correct.
Hope this helps

Thanks, I have read some info from that link when I first got my spinner. I know you have to do the entire surface to be legal. Thats what I did. I just made the last step on the spinner go across my track. I knew I was right!

Good luck! I had the chance to sub in a sport league the last 2 weeks. First week was 38 ft, and last week was 50ft! 38 ft was okay - nice to be able to play the same line the entire set without making any adjustments. 50 ft pattern was horrible! Made me realize how much I need to work on just throwing straight! It was funny watching guys still try to throw the big hook! After 3 games they were still trying to throw the hook! They did a scratch survival pot and the cut off for the second game was 156!
