Best Prices on Abralon or Siaair?
« on: December 29, 2009, 02:16:07 AM »
I just purchaced a used Donkee 3/4 HP spinner for a great deal so now I need some sanding discs.

I'd like a set that includes something like 240, 360, 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000.

Who has the best prices?

I bought a bunch of abralon off ebay. It's the same as what bowlingball.com sells. I think you can get a set of any 5 for $15?

www.grizzly.com has Siaair at a good price. I like the siaair pads more cause they seem to be more durable and longer lasting...

Supergrit is not NEAR as cheap as Ebay for abralon. 6 pads for $19.20 shipped on Ebay, Supergrit will cost $25+.

This is the place I originally found Siaair Velvet pads for a good price. Haven't found many places that carry it at all ... yet.

Ebay is the best place to get Abralon at the cheapest prices. You have to be NOT in a rush, you have to be persistent and watchful. My last good buy was 2 boxes of 20 each of 4000 grit pads for $25 delivered. (A good price from SuperGrit.com is $60 for one box PLUS delivery charges.) Most people thought it was one box but the seller said it was two. I apologized to the seller that it went for such a low price but I wasn't about to turn it down.

In general, Abralon is more expensive than Siaair but I found Siaair to be cheaper and to last longer. I doubt I will ever buy any more Abralon once what I have is gone, unless someone sells them for less than I can get SiaAir pads.

Cheapest place to buy abralon and sia air pads is bowlingbeat.com. They have free shipping and I get the pads very fast via usps.
