The biggest issue I seem to have with any high polished equipment is it doesn't last. It would be great if I could apply polish between games but you are no longer able to do that.
Is there any polish out there that does better than others?
Or are they pretty much all the same.
Snake Oil lasts as long as any Bowling-specific polish. I find auto and non-bowling polishes do not last as long as polishes made for bowling balls.
Most polishes made for bowling balls will last for 15 - 30 games before needing some touch-up, but much depends on how many revs you have, whether you're bowling new synthetics, old synthetics, new wood, old wood or old plastic overlays. The older and more worn out the lane surface, the faster you'll need to apply any surface. The higher your rev rate, the sooner you'll need surfacing/refreshing/re-polishing.
My driller's dull V II Sanded needed not just refreshing but total resurfacing after 15 games on old wood lanes, as an example at the extreme end of the spectrum.
