The actual liquid is a light brown/muddy looking color with sand in it.  

The bottle is a short stout black with neon pink labels on it.

If you'd like to get a product like this I'd suggest something else, you have to shake this bottle constantly to keep the sand mixed, and it gets all over the place if the cap isn't screwed on tight enough.  It can be a real dirty mess sometimes.

Indeed! I agree with A_P_K. I am only using mine up because I have it. I like Ebonite's Matte finish (1200 grit) and Sand Blaster (400 grit). They are much cleaner and much easier to use. They leave the ball dull.

Actually guys,

I seen that Ultimate has a product that removes polish/shine now.  The bottle has a red label where as the polishes have a green or black one.  Currently I do not know what it is called but once I am done with the Liquid Spill Paper I will be using that.

OK thanks........

I have 2 bottles of LS that were given to me, and I just used some the other day and didn't know what to expect, then this muddy stuff comes out

Anyhow,....I'm going to use this up, then will look for a cleaner substitute.

I like the 2 different grit options!  Thanks charlest....

Jeff, pay no attention to those guys behind the curtain!  Sorry, I watched the Wizard of Oz last night...

Yes, Liquid Sandpaper is a bit of a PITA because you have to shake the bejabbers outta it, but it works great when used properly.  I've used Ebonite's Quick Sand (since replaced by Matte Finish and Sand Blaster, I believe), and it's nowhere near as good at removing polish and roughing up the surface.  Liquid Sandpaper is just that, sandpaper in a bottle.

And it doesn't get all over the place if you screw the dispenser cap on properly, and keep your finger over the top of the bottle as you shake it, the way they tell you to on the bottle.

Bottom line, Liquid Sandpaper is great stuff, IMHO.  And yes, when properly mixed, it's a muddy brown.

If you like to go back and forth between dull and polished on the same ball, LS and Renew-It make a great combination.  LS takes the shine off (does a great job of cleaning, too), and Renew-It puts it back on.

Now go bring me the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West!
