Im slightly rev dominate and on the dry lanes my spare ball hooks, sometimes alot. Even when im trying to kill it.
Have anyone tried using car wax/polish on their spareball? If you take the hardest and most glossy polish you can find, the ball will not hook a board right?

Yes you are right. Car wax works on plastic spare balls.

Works great, but does not last very long.

It works real well if you put it on with a spinner and really lean on it.

I tried some car wax on my wife's spare ball the other night, applied by hand. Her slow speed and decent hand usually causes that ball to still hook enough that 10 pin shots are always dicey for her. The car wax gave the ball a very slippery surface and greatly reduced the amount of hook she was previously getting, even on absolutely torched lanes. After we were done and I cleaned the ball with Remedy cleaner, the ball was still slippery, though not quite as much. I'm going to try waxing it up before every league night for her, and then it is just a matter of her getting used to it going straight.

I tried track delayed reaction and the car wax is way more slippery..
8 min in a brunswick polisher or lusterking also is pretty good.. the coin ball polishers seem to use some sort of waxy based polish..

I really think there is a market for a super hard ball that won't hook at all. The ball companies don't think so I guess.. The old blue dot used to be the hardest but now the blue dots and white dots are all the same.. I heard the ice storm is harder than the white dots.

The Ice Storm punches an 80 on the durometer I believe, and mine still hooks even more than my old Maxim did. It's actually fantastic on toasty lanes for playing up the boards!
