Use of Orange Clean?
« on: April 05, 2004, 11:15:14 AM »
Hello:

I've read a few posts that recommend the use of Orange Clean degreaser/cleaner to clean your bowling ball after bowling.  I know its an approved cleaner but does anyone else think it may not be such a good idea to be using an orange oil based cleaner on your ball when oil absorption is the main problem for ball performance?  Anybody with experience using Orange Clean?

Thanks.

Marcus.

Marcus,
Used to use Orange Clean all the time, it's fine, and a good cleaner. Remember, Ebonites Energizer Cleaner is citrus based as well.

Just make sure you get the degreaser/cleaner!

Exactly.  Use the cleaner/degreaser, not the oil based product made for furniture.

I'll stick to Neo-Tac's "Liquid Nitro." I've found nothing on the market to beat it yet.

My opinion on this is that for your everyday type clean this type of product is great, but I think it cannot replace a good deap cleaning atleast once a week or once every two weeks with something like neotac's hook it or a similar product.
