Stock up, folks.
Valentino's has probably one of the THE very best range of products for ball coverstock care, maintenance, and performance in all of bowling.

anybody use the Franken tape. Opinions guys?

I just gave them my payment and my stuff is on the way. After hearing how good their stuff is for a long time, I figured now was a good time to give them a try. Ended up buying Remedy RX, Resurrection, and Snake Oil.

Thanks for your order!
I've gone ahead and updated the amount of Remedy bottles left after the first day of the sale.

Kevin--Sorry to see you did not put Snake Oil up on your Black Fri. list.
Great products folks!

I use it. I put one piece on off-centered, narrow side on top, on the white tape in the front of my ball. That way only a small part of the grippier white is exposed so I don't hang onto the ball too long. It sticks well enough but is still easy to remove when necessary.

I've tried it in the back of the thumb hole. It's more slippery than most other black tapes; so you may want to make sure the thumb hole is tight enough before trying it.
One factor that has much going for it is the glue: while it stays in place like all other good glues, it is THE easiest tape I have ever had to remove. Instead of rubbing and rubbing with a finger or trying a knife or screwdriver, virtually one little flick with your fingernail and just pull it out in an instant. Yet it never comes off by itself.

I use it and its the only tape I really like. I'm fortunate to have an outstanding and knowledgeable shop and my driller has been dead accurate on my fit for many years. That being said I get the thumb just a tad looser and tape UP the front and sides to fine tune each individual ball. I usually end up with 2-3 pieces in the front and 2-3 on the right and left sides. The tape is so thin each piece isn't a drastic change, I like that. I never use tape in the back.

Updated the final numbers for the sale. We only have 90 more bottles of Remedy RX 8oz.
As for Franken tape, it is not a tape for sizing because it is so thin...it is a tape for surface. The surface is smooth/matte and provides a very tiny amount of grip, but nowhere near enough to yank your thumb off. It is great for humid conditions where the thumb feels sticky.
Also as other have said the glue is water based so it comes off easy, and the product doesn't absorb oil like other porous black tapes.
