From my experience of trying Beans Sauce with different sanding grits trying to make it work, I would be willing to bet that my ball would still skate thru the break point same as it did before.

I haven't tried that finish but when I was experimenting with the sauce I found that you had to be very careful, the underlying grit if over 1000 really caused the ball to skate.

Resurrection is 800ish grit, but gives a little bit of a sheen finish, though it still reacts as if it was just "dull" but it does give me slight concerns though snake oil over it gave the ball a fine reaction.

I will try beans over Resurrection on my buddies ball and see after my new bottle of the sauce gets here, i'd test personally but I hurt my knee on my slide leg bad and can't bowl for a while.

As with any polish, where you want to go and how you want to get there should rule the equation. Since Resurrection leaves the ball at 800 grit (not a problem for Secret Sauce), but since it also already leaves a light shine to the ball, you should probably try to apply a very light coat of SS to that surface. Since SS shines so quickly already, what I might try, if I were to do this, is to NOT add any more SS to my SS cloth, but only spray some water on it and use the damp cloth to polish the ball. Then see what I have as a result and throw that a few times.

From the phrases I used, you can tell, that it would not occur to me to try this. So far in my SS testing, I have stuck to rather rough grit levels, like 400, 500 and 600 US/CAMI grade, so far, as the underlayment. My next round of testing will be over 800 and 1000 CAMI grit (2000 grit "P" or Abralon).
