Valentino Remedy RX cleaner
« on: September 06, 2008, 02:56:02 PM »
I've tried it twice now. Unfortunately the lanes I've bowled on the last 2 times were especially dirty. There were some smudges that it removed quite well.

OK, here's the shocking part: it left the ball surface more tacky than any cleaner I have used including Clean and Dull. If I were strong enough, I could have palmed the ball, like a basketball. As it was, I almost did it with two hand, just by the friction created by my palms placed on the side of the ball.

I asked two friends to feel the bowling ball (get your mind out of the gutter ) and they looked at me strangely, UNTIL they felt the ball's surface. They were also very surprised.

Kevin Valentino did urge me to spray the towel and wipe the ball during bowling but I don't usually do that. I also wipe my hands on the towel. Maybe I'll use a 2nd towel. FYI it's legal for use during competition.

Good work, ... err, make that Great Product, again, Kevin, and thanks.

darnit! you figured out the super secret ingredient: cough syrup. lol, I am kidding, it is both cough syrup and windex free.

Just be sure you do not consume Remedy, it can prove to be quite harmful.

Just ordered a bottle of RX.
I use only dull urethane balls on house shots because of my low ball speed and full roller axis rotation.
But my main problem is once the urethane ball gets some oil on it then it just loses its pop.
If I can clean the ball with RX during play I bet the ball stays strong through the whole set.
As it is now I get about 5 good frames where the ball is hitting super hard before it loses all its pop due to oil making the ball real black and slick.
Wiping with a dry cloth or shammy makes no difference with urethane because once that oil gets in those pores it wont come out just by wiping.
Only a good cleaner will get it out.
I hope RX will wipe it out and if it does look out!

First, you should of started a new thread. This one is almost 8 years old.

Second, you can use remedy Rx during league play, it's approved by USBC.
