Once you throw it down the lane and the oil gets on the cover, the water spots will go away.

I see this sometimes when I use clean water to wipe down my ball after using a cleaner. If the water runs down the side of the ball, there will be streaks where the water was. But as soon as you toss it a couple of times, they will disappear.

speaking is discoloration, a few shelf queens which haven't seen much action have these white hazy color around the ball. I swear I heard someone say it is from the kegel oil and the additives in those conditioners.

And speaking of spots, my daughter spilled her milk on one of my ball that was sitting on a homemade rev trainer in the garage, and it also had milk lines and spots. I haven't used the ball and they are still there.
