When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

No!
What you need to do depends on where the ball is now and its condition.
If the track isn't scratched up and you just want to bring it to 500 grit Abralon, use that pad with water on a spinner.
If it is tracked up or you want to remove some deep scratches, yes, start with the lower appropriate grit of the abrasive you wish to use. Bring it up in steps to your final desired grit level.
KISS!
Abralon leaves a nice smooth finish, mostly. If you have it, use it.
