What is a good....
« on: January 18, 2005, 09:12:49 AM »
gritless polish i can buy?  I want to sand my screamer way down (maybe 240) then apply one of those polishes that doesn't change the grit, so i get the length and a really good backend.  Back in the day i remember there was Track's black magic or something but do they still make that?

Also, just how difficult would it be to apply it by hand?

I'm not sure it was designed for it, but I use Ebonite's factory finish polish for this.
Seems to shine it up a hair, but doesn't take away the result of roughing the surface.
But 240??? Isn't that a little harsh?

Well maybe not 240 but a low grit, then a polish to go overtop of it.  I just don't want one of those gritted polisheds.  ANd i heard having a lower grit and a gritless polish will give you more backend (which is what i wanted the ball to do).
