Title: which is more?

If i was to have a ball polished with a 2000 grit and one polished to 1000 grit which would be the less shiny? Or another grit work better?

Wanting to take a dull ball and put little shine on it just to help it get down the lane without it dying before it gets to the pocket

If they are both polished, I dont know if either one would look less shiny than the other.  As far as grits go, if you just used sandpaper or abralon pads, 1000 would be duller than 2000.
