After buying my spinner, I soon discovered that too much shine can be a bad thing on a reactive ball. Most of them are too jumpy if you give them a smoother finish than the factory shine. Especially the pearl reactives. Now spare balls are another story. The more shine the better. I usually get up to 1000 wet sand, then hit it with Turtle Wax rubbing compound, followed by Turtle Wax polishing compound. Put a little bit of control it or some other non-reactive type polish and you have a "dart".
