Hey I may have stumbled onto something by accident.
Iv always used Clean N dull for all my cleaning and to add a little length Reaction Plus both by Track.
Ive just opened a new bottle of clean N dull about 2 weeks ago. Its different than it used to be. Its now much thicker and more of a gel. Its in a different type of bottle. It looks the same except is a little shinier than the old bottle.
I was using loads of it on my spinner, it just seemed to dissapear off the cloth. I thought I need to thin it down a little so I added about 20% rubbing alcohol to the Clean N dull. I thought Id just try it as id used 20% of the bottle in the 2 weeks.
I cleaned the ball and the cloth was BLACK straight away. A second clean cloth and still a bit of black. Turned the ball over and did the same on the other side. BLACK cloth again. I gave it a wipe with a cloth with just alcohol as I always do. I then gave it a quick wipe with a damp rag as advised on the bottle and I have the tackiest ball Ive ever seen. Its spotless even the black lines in the track are clean and Ive always struggled with those as I bowl on old wood lanes.
Ive never tried adding alcohol to the Clean N dull before but its now so thick that its almost unusable on a spinner.
The reaction was tremendous out on the lanes and it gave me a real pop at the pocket. If you get chance to try it out give it a go especially with this newer type of Clean N dull.
Please dont say theres anything wrong with it as I think I'll be getting through an awful lot of Clean N dull if I cant cut it with the alcohol.
