Hi,

I’m a beginner in terms of the technical side of bowling.

Just bought a X-Factor today.  I want it to go long and flip, the ball has a ½ inch pin placement, and the pin, cg and mass bias (RAD) are not in line.  Top weight is 1.75 ounce.

Ball was drilled with the pin slightly above and to the right of ring finger (right-handed), and the mass bias (RAD) swinging to the right (about 1 inch to the right of thumb hole)

Pin is 3.75 inches from PAP.  Balance hole is below the perpendicular axis line.

Question:  

1.   Â½ inch pin placement, is that ok?
2.   I was told by someone that a ‘good’ ball should has the pin, cg, and mass bias in line, but my driller said with the drilling above, I should still get the reaction (long and flip) that I’m looking for (even with them not in line, and the small pin placement), who is correct?
