1:30 Full Roller Layout
« on: March 08, 2004, 10:23:37 PM »
This is somewhat like a reverse/opposite 7:30 drilling. Place the pin 10" from the center of your grip on a 1:30 angle. The pin is past your axis, which reverse's the flare (flares counter clockwise), like the 7:30 drilling, keeping the ball from rolling over the grip holes.

The 7:30 layout is like having thumb and negative weight(the pin is in the thumb-negative quadrant), which causes the ball to roll early and may roll out on drieer lanes. Whereas the 1:30 layout is like having side and finger(pin in the finger-positive quadrant), so the ball has more length and more backend on drier lanes.

Placing the pin 10" from the center of your grip is like having leverage weight(core at a 45 degree angle). Normally, a full rollers axis point/PAP is around 6 5/8" from the center of their grip. So placing the pin 10" from the center of your grip is 3 3/8" from their PAP(10"-6 5/8"), which is basically a leverage weight layout, which will give you a stronger backend reaction on drier lanes. =:^D
