Has anyone with some hand, drill up this pattern on a ball for use on dry lanes?
if so what ball do you use or any good suggestion?
I like to control the lane not fight it. I joined a summer league that is bone dry on the heads. It playes like out of bounds around the 5 boards about 40 feet down.
My normal light /dry ball is too much. I wound up using a plastic ball swinging 20 out 5 at the break point. No room for error. I would like to use a urethane or pearl reactive to try and get deep and keep more of the lane in play and improve carry.
The first game fighting rollout was a 137. switch to plastic for the next 2 game opened the 10th each one for 180's. I think if I can play deep with a smaller line than 35 out to 5. I might enjoy some strikes.

I don't know if I have enough hand to qualify being a Tweener, but I drilled up an old Gold Rhino Pro with a 135 degree layout. It gave me a fairly smooth arc and hit ok as long as you had clean backends.
I don't think the drill does everything that's claimed for it, but I've only drilled one ball this way as an experiment.

I got my chance to throw a 135 degree polished reactive pearl blade(2000 grit treated with Docs elixir) on toast tonight.
Awesome layout and ball. I had a multitude of shots. too many. I could not figure out which to use.
I could play 4th arrow out to the 5 if I revved it up with a lot of axis rotation
or a little straighter and deeper 4th arrow out to 12 with higher tilt and less axis.
I could pick up the speed and go straighter over the second arrow up the back of the ball.
I think my best look was 4th arrow out to 12. I had 3 or 4 boards of area if I miss and recover enough to strike. if I sent it wide and poorly
the hook set reaction would tickle the head pin and leave 2 or three on the left.
Overall I left no splits( 1 baby but I don't count that) I left a lot of 2 and 3 pin groups. I left very few 10's when I hit the pocket. I did manage to chop every multi pin spare but 3
. some quality practice with this ball and dry lanes and I think I have kicked my toughest lane condition
Now all I have to do is relax and let it go. What an excellent drilling. mine wound up being 1oz neg side 0oz finger. I may take that down to 7/8. it's just to close and I don't want it kicked out becuse of scales being off by a hair.
