A friend of mine had his driller choose a ball for him and lay it out in order to play up the lane. I was looking at the layout and found it interesting. I understand that putting pin close to axis point is a "control" layout, more curious regarding CG & MB placement.
Bowler is right handed, slower speed, lower revs, medium track. The ball is a hyper cell. His PAP is probably around 3 1/2 to 4" and 1/2 to 1" up.
The layout: pin 0-1/2" from PAP. CG was in the middle of the palm with the MB kicked way out to the left.
I have never seen this CG & MB placement, almost opposite of full roller layout. Curious on this layout and what the ball will do, given it is one of the strongest balls on the market.
