Title: 315 degree drilling. Anybody have experience with this?
Post by: Juggernaut on July 25, 2005, 02:59:01 PM
I have been thinking about trying this drill out, just don't want to end up with a ball I can't use or can only use once or twice a year.

Just what exactly is the purpose of this drilling.  I know you have to have a ball with a 0-1 pin, and I know the technicality of how to measure it off, I just want someone to tell me the advantages/dis-advantages of this type drilling in particular.

Also, is this a drill for symmetrical, asymmetrical, or can it be used on anything?

  Can't even ring the bell
But let this sucker jump the tracks
  And see who catches HE11!

fonz,

I've seen that link, it's pretty informative, but I was looking for practical experiences mostly.

correct...had one on an orignal red pulse..my test ball. worked well, revs up early like a zero degree, but has more when it turns the corner. The faz starts up even soon because of the core. Works well as long as there is enough oil in the heads to get to the midlane. If you need more info, pm me. I also think there is a vid of me throwing that faz.

I picked up a Valor/P Tour drilled this way and it definitely has the straight and smooth reaction peoiple say it does but I had a problem...

unless I seriously concentrated on adding tilt to my release, it would clip the fingers and thumb on every shot.

I didn't use it much so I cannot say if it was the ball or the drilling but that's my experience.
