I put that on most of my assymetric prices.  I adjust the cg by moving it left to avoid a extra hole. 

Pincgmb layouts where the cg is shifted to the left an inch will also make this layout 'typically' easier to drill without an extra hole.

Many of the storm balls that I request will have the cg shifted left, especially if you ask for a 4-5" pin.

Depends on your pap. If you a low track player, maybe. High track, you'll probably need a hole, especially with 3 oz of top. On sym ball, you'll have to use a determinator to get the true PSA of the ball. Then you can remeasure the layout. Other than that the only thing you could do is go off the predrilled measurements.
