I have a C*(System) Ulti-max drilled 85 Deg x 5" x 35 Deg which puts the Mass Bias locator in the left side of my thumb. My Pap is 5 3/8" over and 7/8" up with approximately 16mph ball speed and 370 - 400 rmp rev rate aka Cranker. My Ulti-max is really clean through the front, and reacts strongly to the friction. This ball is at the factory surface of 500 - 1500 - Rough Buff and is pearlized. I never drilled a ball with this layout, but really like how strong the backend reaction is with the 35 deg 2nd angle. It would depend on the amount of volume of oil as well as the length on the sport pattern and where on the lane you are trying to play to know if this type of layout would work. I really like the Ulti-max for when I have to get in deeper and wheel it which is where it works good. On the flip side, I was able to use the Ulti-max on the boardwalk pattern, 34 ft, because the ball gets down lane very clean. If you have a higher speed, you might want to use a lower 1st angle to help it start up sooner.
