Threshold Drilling Help!!!
« on: August 21, 2007, 12:52:32 AM »
I have recently purchased and had punched a Dynothane Threshold.  I have had many Dynos in the past and loved them, but this ball and the Centrifugal Mass have rolled awful.  Currently the Threshold is tracking over the thumb as soon as it hits the lane.  I have no idea what is going on and I would like to get a drilling that will fix this problem.  I have always had a high track but this is unacceptable.  The drilling is as follows

-------p
------O O--- X (weight hole)

---------Cap
-------O

Aby help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Contact Jeff Ussery with Ebonite.  Look him up in the users list and send him a PM, it may take a few days for him to respond.  --  JohnP

Any particular reason for contacting Jeff?  The ball was Dyno-designed, Columbia made, and was never really part of the C300/Ebo deal.  The Dynothane folks are not with Ebonite.

I'd try contacting X Guy (formerly other guy) or newguy.  X Guy works for Elite now but was with Dynothane at the time and newguy, you know, owned DT.

You could also try sending tekneek a PM.  He was on DT staff and has helped me out many times with my DT equipment.

Where is the CG mark?  Did you NEED an extra hole?  Sometimes a high hole in relation to the grip can draw the track up towards the grip, can change the bow tie position.  That's why you see so many low holes to increase the flare and move the bow tie up and around the fingers.

Just a thought, I just woke up.

My understanding is that Dynothane was part of the deal with Ebonite, and Jeff is a very knowledgeable driller.  And I think he would go out of his way to help.  --  JohnP
