What is the carry effect if the ball is drilled for a lefty and thrown by a righty. Do you leave a lot of 10 pins or 5's?

It depends on the usual 49 factors: how it is drilled, how the righty bowls, what the basic characteristics of the ball are, what the oil pattern is, what the lane surface is, etc., etc.
larrym is far too blunt, but his answer leans in the right direction.

Did exactly that myself a while back. Ball was drilled stacked/strong for a lefty which gave me a really long pin-to-pap and negative sideweight. Ball had NO X-hole.
Ball would go really long, flare up a bit late, and really make a late and very hard move on the backends. Instead of being weak on me, it tended to over flip and I left a lot of solid 9's with it. I got to where I could almost leave one (solid 9) on demand.
I've got a pretty strong release though. Don't really know how it would effect a stroker or tweener.

It really does depend on the bowler's PAP, just like any layout for any bowler.
A typical 4x3 layout for me looks like a lefty layout.

Storm Spitfire, pin to the left of the middle finger, cg in palm. (just like a lefty lable drill)
And just as Juggernaut described, large backend movement resulting in a 9 pin.

The main problem is that a ball drilled for a leftie is very unlikely to fit a right hander, spans and pitches especially. -- JohnP
