Ace and Vertigo drillings ?
« on: May 16, 2005, 05:44:46 AM »
I am new to storm balls and I am not sure how to get them drilled and I would enjoy your help.

For the Ace I was planing On getting it drilled with the pin up or with then pin over my ring finger.

I would like to know how the reaction would change from the pin up to the pin over my ring finger. And do you think that these drillings are good for medium to heavy oil.

For the Vertigo I was planing on getting it for heavy oil, and for the drilling I was thinking of getting the pin to the right of my ring finger. That was how I had my Ultimate Inferno Drilled and Is this a good heavy oil lay out.

My revrate is Medium(at kegal Traning center it was 250rpm )
My Ball speed is medium(around 15mph)
Lanes surface is Synthetic
I am not sure exactly sure what axis tilt is but I think mine is 25 degrees(The tilt of my hand at release or at the start off) I am most likely way off what it is but o well.

Thanks Again

axis tilt is a MAJOR factor when laying out a ball the easiest way to determine it is to measure you track diameter and for every 1" less than 13.5" your track is = 6 2/3° of axis tilt. More than likely you don't have 25° that would be quite a bit of tilt.
Letting us all know your tilt will make it much easier to recommmend a layout.

I was looking on the storm web site and saw the Machmaker Icon. I clicked on it and it asks "what is your axis rotation", I wached the video they had on the web site. I am more of a Full roller I am not sure the degrees os it but, hopefully this will help.
