Adding a Hole to Lower the Track
« on: April 13, 2006, 02:28:48 PM »
I picked up a pin in urethane ball recently and I am tracking very close to the holes. I recall Brunswick or someone having a section somewhere about adding a hole in a specific location to move the bowtie and track away from the holes.

I have the article here somewhere but I cannot locate it. Can anyone out there help me out?

Thanks!!!

Place the hole about 2 1/2 inches below your PAP. should increase the flare and draw the bowtie away from your fingers or thumb faster.

Thanks Tim.......that's similar to what I have been told but I was told to just make sure the hole was below the pin to PAP line.

maybe 2-1/2" below and past the PAP?

Actually yes, that is true because if the hole is too low it could just pull the bowtie lower towards your fingers.

Try 2 1/2 inches it should do something.

Just to update....IT WORKED!!!!

Threw the ball 2-3 times to get my PAP for the ball dialed in. Laid out the VAL and dropped a spot 2-1/2" down and then added a 5/8 hole 2-1/2" deep with a 1" right lateral pitch.

This was enough to move the PAP about an inch and force the ball to triple it's flare and keep the roll off the middle and thumbholes.

Thanks again Dude!!!!
